Which letters are on which key

Every phone keypad carries letters on the keys 2 to 9; the 1 and 0 carry none. A word uses the digits under its letters, so PIZZA dials 74992 and LAW dials 529.

Each key carries three or four letters, so the same digits often spell more than one word. A short word at the end of the number is the easiest to find and to remember.

Questions

Who sells the numbers on this site?

Exclusive Digits sells and delivers every number listed here. Preferred Digits is an independent site that earns a commission when you buy through its links.

How do callers dial a word?

They press the keys that carry the letters, so a word number dials like any other number. Each listing also shows the digits, and it is worth printing both.

Why can't I find my seven-letter word?

A seven-letter word has to fill all seven digits after the area code, so it matches at most one number in each area code, and that number has to be for sale. Try a shorter word, or a shorter form of the same word.

Can I keep my carrier?

Yes. Portable to Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and all major US carriers. After checkout you receive the account number and transfer PIN the carrier asks for. The carrier controls how long the transfer takes and may charge its own service or transfer fees.

Is the price a one-time charge?

Yes. The listed price is a one-time purchase price from Exclusive Digits. Your carrier charges its usual fees for the line.
